Generally you want a winch to load ratio of 2:1. For example a 1,000 lb. boat would require a 500 lb. or more winch. The larger the winch, generally the easier to crank and handle the load. 94-3794 is 600 lb., 6" handle, 94-3795 is 900 lb., 7" handle. Other models available are two-way ratchet mechanism and capacities of 1,100 lb. (94-3796), 1,400 lb. (94-3799), 1,500 lb. (94-3797), 1,800 lb. (94-3798).
