New maintenance-free electric steps feature four modes of operation for the ultimate in RVing flexibility - Mode #1: open your door and the steps come out automatically, close the door and the steps retract. Mode #2: Override the retraction cycle, at the flip of a switch, the steps stay down. Mode #3: Steps automatically come up to prevent you from driving away with the steps out. Mode #4: Locks the steps in their retracted position, whether the door is open or not. Unlike other step manufacturers, these new electric steps feature 15 self-lubricating bushings for a maintenance-free operation and shoulder bolts for more consistent operation (other brands use rivets that create friction). Additional features include a control module with safety backup timer for fail-safe operation, weatherproof connector to prevent corrosion and electrical shorts, and protected circuitry that provides more voltage to the motor. 1/box.
